Our Wedding
Editor's note: Please imagine the following in a Robin Leach-ish nasally faux-British accent. It's what the bride and groom would have wanted.
Our story leaves our hero and heroine betrothed yet unwed. After much consideration, they decide upon a day on which to have their nuptials. A visit to a wonderful place in Napa yields a location. And dining at the to-be site inspired the menu for the evening of the big event. All that needed to be done was to create the invitations, send them out, get the suit, have the dress made, show up, etc.
Shanin and Josh set the date for December 30, partially because they wanted to be married soon, partially because their planned honeymoon would be the best at that time of year, and partially, oh-so-unromantically, because they could then file taxes as "married" for 2007. In any case, they plunged right ahead, mixing the stress of planning a wedding with going to school, Josh's starting a new job, and the normal holiday rush. True, it made it a little more difficult on a day-to-day basis, but in the end, they both were able to get through the holidays, get married, and breathe a big sigh of relief when they finally got to Austria.
The Pictures
Let's face it; the story is wonderful and everything, but we know that you came here to see the pictures. On this site are pictures that Josh's mom took and that were taken with Josh's camera (he wisely gave it to his uncle as he didn't want to be taking pictures during his own wedding!). If you would like to see Lucas' (and probably Becca's, too) magnificent shots, you can check them out at his Picasa online gallery.
